Scrapbook in a box made in 2006

The first part or bottom of the box is 12x12 and scored at 4" on all sides.   The second one is 11x11 and scored at 3 3/4".   The third one is 10x10 and scored at 3 1/2".
The 4 corners are cut off which makes each layer look like a cross.

Attach them on top of each other at the bottom, so the flaps will fold up.
Here is a side view of the 3 layers on the inside.  Now next let's make the box lid.
The box top is cut 8 1/4" square and then scored at 2" on all sides.   You then cut in just 4 places, 2 on opposite ends  to create flaps.
Glue the corners.
Fold flaps in and glue.
The bottom just slides in to the box top.

Fabulous Florets Pull-Up Card

This card was taught at our downline meeting by Pat.   She said she saw it on a blog, but could not remember which one.  So if this is your original design, please let me know so I can give you credit for this fun creation.   Here is what you will need:   Whisper White:  7"x 4 1/4" and scored at one end 1 1/2" down; 4 1/4"x 3 1/4" and scored at one end 1/2" down; & 4 1/4"x3 1/2" for card front.   You will also need a piece of designer paper cut at 4 1/4"x 3/4" and 14" of ribbon.   I used the Top Note Die and cut it out in Wild Wasabi cs and then cut in half lengthwise.

Using Wild Wasabi ink, stamp your leaves on the card front (4 1/4"x 3 1/2" Whisper White).
Stamp flowers with VersaMark pad and emboss with Tangerine Tango and Melon Mambo Emboss Powder.    Then cut flowers out.
Attach the stamped card front to the 7"x 4 1/4" piece at the opposite end of the scored end.  Note: Only put glue on 3 sides to make a pocket.  I used 2 Way Glue because it was narrower than snail.

Insert the 4 1/4" x 3 1/4" cs piece with the scored part on top into the pocket.
Center and match up on  top and glue.

Gently fold down the first couple of times and after that it should work easily.
Pull all of the way up and stamp with your favorite saying.
Attach the top note piece to the flap and trim the points at the top.
Glue the designer paper at the top, mine overlapped a bit.
Insert ribbon behind flap and tie.

Add embossed flowers using dimensionals.

Snip & Tuck Card

My friend, Bev, wanted to see how to make the Snip & Tuck Card.  So below  is a tutorial on how to make it.   This card concept was demonstrated as the "Fun Fold" card by Bonnie Thurber at the 2011 Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference.    So....Bev, this is for you.   Hopefully all of you will try it out right away.  It is so fun !

Snip & Tuck Card

Start with 3" X 12" piece of cardstock. (I used the Ice Cream Parlor Designer Paper.)
Fold in half to create a 3" X 6" card.
Use the Paper Piercing Tool to make a hole through both layers (front & back) of the card, in the center, approximately 2" from the open end of the card.
Using the paper cutter, line up the  top corner of the card front with the hole and cut from the corner to the hole.  Do the same thing on the inside of the card, making a cut from the bottom corner to the hole.



Tuck the point of the front right corner behind the back of the card.

An interesting new idea.

I am not sure where I saw this idea, but I had a lot of fun experimenting with different images and different Impression Folders to make a few cards.  Below is the card I made for my hubby for Valentine's Day.   I made a tutorial on how to do this technique.   You have to give this one a try.

Isn't this great?  I used Basic Gray and Real Red cardstock along with the Basic Gray Satin Ribbon.   And I used the following techniqe to make this card.   I do not know what this technique is called, but if you put a chipboard image under an Impressions Folder , it will only impress the design and nothing else.   I love how this card turned out.   And don't you just love those little keys in the new Mini?
Use the Multipurpose Platform, but do not open any tabs.
I did not have a die to run a Valentine heart through, but I did have heartshaped sticky notes.   And with the correct thickness, it worked great. And because it was a sticky note pad, I was able to adhere it to the multipurpose platform.  Cool, huh?
Place image onto Multipurpose Platform and then the Impressions Folder with cardstock inside on top.
Lay Impressions Folder on top of image.
Use just one cutting pad.

Using the new Petal Card XL Double Punch

This is an interesting punch and I have had a blast trying new ideas with it.  Actually what this punch does is cut and score at the same time.  Wow!  Who thinks this stuff up? 






To make these cute little florettes, Punch with dsp of your choice and then fold in half so you are folding two of the petals in half.  I did this so I could see the middle of the petal and it helped me do the next step.   I then folded from that petal center point to the dip on each petal.  After you do this to each petal fold them backwards and ta da! you have this cute little florette.
