I am not a spider lover; however this little insect does not bother me at all. He is made from Basic Black cardstock and the Round Tab punch. Oh and a little bling for the eyes. And if you want to make another critter, how about a bat?
Well this is the craziest post I have ever done here on TypePad. Several pictures posted 2 and 3 times. Anyway I am going to try to explain anyway and hopefully this will be helpful to you. I started with a 6"X6" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and a 3 1/2" X 3 1/2" piece of Well Worn designer paper. First I scored (using my cutter and a bone folder) 2" on all 4 sides. Then fold on each crease. I opened it up and cut each of the 4 corners off - score line to score line. Then I took a ruler and bone folder and scored down the center of the triangle made by the above corner cut. The score lines in the center of the triangle are valley folds while the others are mountain folds. This shows the bottom of the box. I stamped the Sunflower on the bottom. Then I took the designer paper and scored 11/16" on each side. This will make the center square of the lid to be 2 1/8" square (so it is a bit larger than the box to fit on top nicely.) I cut 4 cuts and folded the score lines. I attached the corners with snail or you could use sticky strip. When you fold up the bottom of the box it fits nicely inside the lid. Embellish as you like. Again, thanks for checking my blog out and I apologize for the peculiar # of photos. (I could not even get them to delete.) Oh, well. Such is life.
