A good friend of mine named Carol sent me a beautiful card using this technique.  I am not sure what the technique is called, but you stamp your image with any color Craft ink and emboss it with clear embossing powder.  Then sponge around the image and wipe with a tissue.  Here we used the Bride Specialty Paper on pg. 158 as a background and our lovely Bashful Blue Satin ribbon.

Fresh-Cut Notes

Have you ever used these note cards?  We have 3 different designed die cut cards.  This one is the Fresh-Cut Notes and I sent these to my downline this past week as a reminder of our upcoming meeting.   So sweet and so easy to design with.  I used the Shades of Spring DSP and the Eggcellent Eggs Kit.  Don't you just love the little "bling" in the center?  I want a whole package of those things!  Actually we even "blinged" my granddaughter's cell phone last night.   Man, I am going to have to purchase several pkgs. just for the bling.

Eggcoutrements Set ideas

Well, this was fun!  I actually had a little time this week to play with this set.  I felt it went so well with the Kaleidoscope DSP and the Sweet Pea stitched felt flowers.  Here I stamped the edge with Pretty in Pink ink and then used our Scallop Edge punch.  I then punched small holes in the center of the scallops using our 1/16" punch.   And of course made a small medallion with the Scallop Trim Corner punch and tied Pretty in Pink Satin ribbon to add some elegance.

Brownie Box

How would you like to receive a brownie in a recycled brownie box?  I think this turned out so cute.  I took our Matchbox die and ran it through with a brownie mix box.   Of course $ would be nice, too.  But imagine the possibilities.  Just pick something that you know is special in someone's life and use the box to go through the BigShot.   I also can see sending it through with the Petal Card die for a cute card.  Check out all of our dies on pg.195-202 of our IB&C.  

Chocolate Bunny

Doesn't this Chocolate Bunny bring back childhood memories?  I used the Fancy Favor Die for the package and the Sweet Pea DSP as background.  If you are wondering where I got the design idea just look at your Occas. Mini pg. 43 sample.  I just tweeked it a little and what a cute container it turned out to be.  Don't forget that anytime you need an idea, just go to one of the SU cattys.  Now to fill it with chocolate - a completed project.

Heart Onboard Book

Ok, I love this book!  There are several things going on here.  One is I used the Sweet Pea DSP and sponged Close to Cocoa Ink on it,  the other is the use of the pearl from the Pretty's Kit and then the adorable flower made from the new Extra Large Fancy Flower punch.  I know alot of gals have been making this flower, but the one I especially liked was on Patty Bennett's blog.  Here I stamped words using a retired set, then sponged with Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery & Rose Red Inks.   Scrunched up the 4 layers and put a Pretty in Pink Corduroy button in the middle.  I stamped one of my favorite phrases (especially for my grandchilddren) "I made a wish and you came true!" from the set called Stem Sayings pg. 120 in the IB&C.  Then I of course filled it with pictures of my grandchildren.   

Friends 24-7

This is my case of the card on pg. 100 in the 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog.   It uses the technique called Poppin' Pastels.  Easy to make and has a lovely effect on a card.

Is this cute or what?

Just look at how cute this purse turned out!!  It was made by my new-found stamping friend Marisol.  She makes these and sells them. And does a lovely job.  And to top it off she made me a pin to match.  Thank you so much Marisol.  I don't think my photos do this little purse justice.  But if you would like to have one made for you, please let me know and I will give you her information. (Which I hope to post later on my blog).  These squares are cut by our Bigshot , using the Scallop Square die.

My new apron.

I debated if you would want to see my new apron alone or with me wearing it.  Well, I decided to post both.  Not the most flattering post, but I just love this quilt square that SU gave us at Leadership.  So I went shopping  for material that matches and this is the result.  While I don't usually want to draw attention to my middle.....just check out the apron and the quilt square and that will be easier on your eyes.   By the way, the material to make this quilt square was cut with our Bigshot and the 5 pointed star die.  Sweet, huh?
