Attending any SU event is always a wonderful experience.  I have attended atleast 13 events and have always come home so refreshed and excited to share all I learned.  This regional was no exception.  One thing that made it so special is that 10 of us went.  That is the most from our local group to attend at one time.  And what made it more exciting is that 7 of us won stamp sets.  Woo!  Hoo!  And I was honored to be chosen to give the blessing for our lunch.  A total of 500 attended plus SU crew.  It was a little unnerving to go up on stage and hold a microphone to say grace.  But with God's help I was able to do it and am glad I did.  By the way.....thanks, girls.  (and you know who you are). 

Anyway, it turned out to be a great event.  So proud of all of you who took the time to attend.  Below are a few photos of our group.

Berry Christmas Set

 Here are the projects we made at the Cincinnati Regional using the Berry Christmas set from the Holiday Mini pg. 20.  #116509 for $22.95.  Any of these projects can be made at a home workshop.   If you want to learn a few of these projects give me a call.

Flower Folds Die Pin

 I finally did it!   I made one of the pins that I have been dying to make since I was at Regional in Cincy.  Shelli was wearing one that day and I just fell in love with it.  So I ordered the Flower Folds Die (#115970 pg.201) and picked up some fall flannel fabrics and presto! it is done.   And for the button, I had no SU button that matched, so I covered one with a piece of the left over material.  Sweet!!!!!   And I must tell you, my 14 year old granddaughter was here when I was making it and she has placed an order for one.....with her favorite colors.  She wants to wear hers in her hair.   Hmmmmm!  I am regretting getting rid of my old material a few years back when we moved.    Oh, well, back to the store for more!

What would be the colors of ink that are closest to the original Red and Green for Christmas?

Traditionally when I joined SU 11 years ago, everyone used Glorious Green and Real Red as their Christmas colors. At the time, I did not have either one of these colors.  I had Garden Green and Rose Red so used them for my Christmas Cards.  These two colors have alot more blue in them and I really liked the results.  As you can see by the new Designer Papers by SU, traditional and nontraditional colors are now being used for Christmas.  It is fun to "think out of the box" and I love the challenge.

Deb also asked what color of blue should be used in making snowflake cards.  My preference is Night of Navy or Not Quite Navy.  Use these by either stamping the snowflake in these colors onto Whisper White, Shimmery White or Very Vanilla cardstock or stamping snowflakes directly onto Night of Navy or Not Quite Navy using our Whisper White Craft pad, Very Vanilla Craft pad or any of our new Shimmer Paints found in the new Holiday Mini.  The Shimmer paints can be found on page 27 in the mini and the other ink pads and cardstock are found in the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog on pages 155 -159.
