This cat card is made with non SU products; however I am posting it in honor of my friend Midge. Midge loved her cat and she loved making these cat cards. This is one I found in one of the many boxes of items she had made. I kept the cat face stamps and this summer we will have a cat stamping day in her honor. She was a SU demo for a couple of years, but had stamped for 16 years or so. Midge went to be with the Lord last August and this last Friday (with the help of many friends) we sold all of her stamping suplies and stamps. She would have been delighted to see the many people who received a blessing by purchasing items at a wonderful price to take to a new home. Midge had a card ministry at her church and just loved sending cards to everyone she knew and even people she did not know. Now we have passed these items on to others who, I hope, will bless more people. Thank you MIdge for all of the cards you made and sent me over the years!!!! I found 2 of them today when cleaning out one of my own boxes. And.....they all had glitter on them. Did I mention that we nicknamed her the Glitter Queen because she would finish a card and then think it needed a little something more. Then....out came the glitter. Midge and her husband, Dick, were the first people Ronn and I met when we moved into Hicksville 39 years ago. We attended church on our first Sunday here and on Tuesday, they were at our door welcoming us! We have been friends ever since. Midge was also the one who did not want our kids to call them Mr. & Mrs. Biery, so she came up with Aunt Midge and Uncle Dick. Even though we were not related.....we were related in the Lord. We had so many good times together. She even made me get into her swimming pool one day......I don't swim and really am not a water person. But she persuaded me to get in and all of us girls had a wonderful time visiting and laughing. It would take days to tell you all of the things we did together over the years. I loved her like a sister and am so thankful I will be able to spend eternity with her and all of the other friends we shared who have gone to be with the Lord. And just one more memory before I close, all of the parades in Hicksville would go in front of our house. Almost always, they would sit on our L-shaped Victorian porch with us to watch them go by. Many times we would then get out the grill and cook lunch. ( Everyone should have a front porch.....if for nothing else....to greet your neighbors as they walk by.) Well, I am pleased to give this tribute to her. She blessed alot of people. Midge, Glitter Queen, we love you!
