Hostess Appreciation Night

Last night was my Hostess Appreciation Night.    I called it "Things That Go Bump in the Night" because we watched a dvd on God's creation of the galaxies.  There was plenty of food there and each girl made a banner.   Everyone chose to make a stocking banner.   Diane made a beautiful one, but left before I got a picture.    We hung each banner up on the garage door to take a picture of them.  So have a look and enjoy!

Gift Card Holder

This is one of the cutest and easiest gift card holders I have ever made.  Take a 8 1/2" X 11" piece of cardstock and cut it lengthwise.  You will have 2 pieces 4 1/4" X 11" each.      Score at 3", 5 1/2" & 8".  Fold in half and then fold the ends up.  It should look like a W.    Glue the center (the open end of the middle and the sides but not the top folded middle (that is where you will punch out with  the Word Window punch and the 3/4" circle punch.)   Your gift card will fit perfectly if you punch to about 3/8" from each end.   Decorate as desired on the outside.   I love BLING so I used the red glimmer paper.    So as not to waste glimmer paper I punched my tag and several 1/4" circles on the inside of the glimmer paper.    I only needed 1/8" around each edge.   Cool, huh?      Then I attached the Holly Berry dsp.   I made a belly band from Early Espresso cs and embelllished with my glitzy tag and the little tree made from 3 punches of the Pennant punch.   Isn't this an adorable idea?     Below is also a picture of another design using the Christmas felt pieces.     Enjoy!
